The 2015 Hall Laureate is Dr. Anthony Culyer.  Dr. Culyer is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at University of York, England and Visiting Fellow and Adjunct Scientist at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto, Canada.   He was the founding Organiser of the Health Economists’ Study Group in the UK (the first group of its kind) and the founding Vice Chair of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).  He continues to chair the NICE International’s Advisory Group.  In Canada he was Chief Scientist at the Institute for Work & Health and Chair of the Research Advisory Council of the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. He helped to found the Citizens’ Council in Ontario and the Occupational Cancer Research Centre in Toronto.  Dr. Culyer is a founding editor of the Journal of Health Economics, a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and has an honorary doctorate from the Stockholm School of Economics.
